Raised as a secular Jew, he became a Seventh-day Adventist in 1980. He was the editor of Liberty magazine for six years. He currently is the editor of the Adult Bible Study Guide, a quarterly study guide used by millions in Adventist churches around the world.
Cliff is married to Kimberly, and they have two adult children , Zachary and Hannah.
